Preparing for online invoicing
2017. August 28.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear Clients! Dear Readers!

Recently several pieces of new information have come to light in connection with online invoicing which is expected to be introduced on 1st July 2018. In our current newsletter the information on the introduction of data provision is summarized.

Draft plan No. 23/2014 on the amendment of NGM decree

Pursuant to the draft the decree is amended as follows:

Practical information

In practice the invoicing software shall sort out the invoices that meet the following requirements:

The invoicing software has to be able to forward without human intervention the specific data content of the invoices that meet the above conditions to the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary, so during the day’s work providing data will not be an extra task.

The introduction of online invoicing will reduce the administrative burden in the long run because it will make the domestic summary reports unnecessary with respect to the outgoing invoices, and the registration of the invoicing software.

Phases of the introduction

The introduction is made in 3 steps, the first two phases of which are for testing.

1. phase from 1 July 2017 to 31 December 2017

The software developers have the opportunity to check the compliance of electronic data files stored in XML format with the scheme in the so called KOBAK system. KOBAK system is currently available on the link https://onlineszamla.nav.gov.hu/. Pre-registration is necessary for its use. A fixed IP address is the condition of usage.

2. phase from 1 January 2018 to 30 June 2018

According to the plans developers will be able to perform testing not by uploading individual data files but through the data provided by the invoicing software. The receipt of the provided data shall not make the domestic summary reports unnecessary, which, by all means, have to be submitted until 30 June. 2018, even if the invoicing software is already operational.

3. phase from 1 July 2018.

From this date the amount of data provision will be HUF 100,000, and the obligation of providing data online will enter into force. After 1 July 2018 all received data shall be considered as valid data provision.

Our company has started testing its own invoicing software by which we will try to gain experience. We will share this experience with our readers on abt.hu/hu/blog. We are at your disposal in case of questions related to the above.
