The ABT Treuhand Group was founded in 1980 in Zurich, Switzerland. We established our first Hungarian subsidiary in Budapest in 1993. Today, our company employs more than 60 highly educated staff members with up-to-date knowledge, who speak various foreign languages. It serves over 500 clients from around 50 countries.

What does our Swiss background mean to us?
Above all, it represents a mindset, one defined by high standards in our work, a commitment to quality client relationships, and a strong sense of responsibility. The Swiss founder of the ABT Treuhand Group, Andreas Baumann, shaped and supported both professionally and personally the leadership team over decades. Today, this team continues to deliver accounting, tax, administrative, and audit services based on the values he established the “Treuhand” philosophy.
The Treuhand philosophy
The term “Treuhand” (literally “trusting hand”) is a lesser-known German concept. For us, it means acting as a trusted partner, supporting our clients in their financial matters over the long term, often for decades. In practice, this means standing by our clients through both good times and challenges, understanding the specifics of their operations, and thinking together with them.
Our Swiss connection today
We have been managing our operations fully independently for more than a decade and a half. At the same time, it remains important to us that our Swiss founder stays connected, allowing us to exchange experience from time to time. He therefore continues to be involved in the ABT Treuhand Group as a co-owner. We are committed to preserving our Swiss roots and core values, and we continue to see ourselves as a company with Swiss heritage. That is why we have chosen our motto: “A piece of Switzerland.”
